Winter Solstice Business Melody, Cultivating Integrity and Chasing Dreams! On the evening of December 18, 2024, the 2024 Winter Solstice & New Year's Eve Party of the School of Business, Soochow University was grandly held in Cunju Hall. Liu Zhiming, the Party Committee Secretary of the School of Business, Huang Xiaohui, the Deputy Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, external tutors Min Ying and Xu Tao, representatives of undergraduate growth companion tutors, all the class advisors, representatives from the University Graduate Student Union, the University Student Union, and student unions of various brother schools, as well as all the students of the School of Business attended the party. Teachers and students gathered together to attend a warmly delightful event!

Before the party, everyone walked up the red carpet one after another. They put on their favorite red dresses, brought along their closest friends, and gathered here with teachers and friends. They left behind their brightest smiles and the best wishes for the future.

Party Committee Secretary of the School of Business, Liu Zhiming, delivered the New Year's address. Secretary Liu first reviewed the achievements the college had made in all aspects over the past year and extended his most sincere thanks and festive greetings to all the academic tutors and students. He stated that with the care and support of the university and the joint efforts of all teachers and students, the School of Business had made great progress in talent cultivation, forming a vivid practice of high-quality development in student affairs. He pointed out that students had shown gratifying progress in both professional learning and the improvement of comprehensive quality. In 2025, the college will continue to carry forward the spirit of integrity and uprightness, and promote the quality of talent training to a new level, so that every student can gain happiness in the college and continuously stimulate the internal driving force for growth.

Students who are good at singing and dancing brought performances with diverse styles and a refreshing novelty. There were warm and touching choral singing, passionate K-pop dances, self-directed and self-acted situational dramas, recitations of poetry with deep emotion and expression, gorgeous classical dances, superb martial arts performances, and energetic duet raps... The programs of the party were splendid and varied, with traditional culture and modern art complementing each other. This was not only a feast for the eyes and ears but also an exchange and collision of cultures. It allowed teachers and students to enjoy the festive joy while gaining a deeper understanding of the connotations and values of the Winter Solstice culture, and also injected new vitality into the campus cultural construction.

The year 2024 was a year of development and also a year of harvest. This party commended students who made progress in 2024. Outstanding volunteers of the College Student Volunteer Service Western Program, outstanding student union backbone of Soochow University, outstanding news person of the School of Business in 2024,  and the third prize in the freshman dance competition at the university level... Behind each honor was the students' day and night efforts and unremitting struggle. It is believed that the power of role models will surely lead the students of the School of Business to keep striving and climb to new heights.

Before the party, the Student Union of the School of Business carefully organized a postcard collection activity themed What I Want to Say to 2025, which received extensive participation and unanimous praise from the students. During the party, the teachers were invited to draw postcards one by one and read out the blessings on the postcards for everyone, also extending their festive wishes to the students.

The party came to a successful conclusion amidst thunderous applause and laughter. At the end of the party, everyone went on stage to take group photos as souvenirs, filled with joy and warmth, making the atmosphere of reunion, celebration, and blessings last long! In 2025, let's continue to join hands and chase our dreams, and together forge new glories for the School of Business!
